Liebchen the cat loves to ski and swim with his owners: he has his own ski pass, goggles and life jacket

Liebchen worships everything that is sports and nature, and he is really happy when his mustache is floated by the cool wind. Dan and Erin didn't want to believe their eyes when their cat turned out to share with them all their hobbies.

In the early days, they simply took him with them wherever they went, but it wasn’t long before Liebchen was an active part all of their activities. To protect the kitty, he was given his own coat, ski goggles and even a ski pass.

He even likes water!

The ginger boy is not only fond of crystallized water, on which you can glide with skis, but also likes bubbling water, defying all his ancient instincts. He simply jumped into the river during an excursion. The owners were scared to death, but it soon became clear that they had no reason to worry. Liebchen cuts the foam using a technique similar to dogs. And the confidence on his face is undeniable. We try to hold back ourselves a little, but we’re all for Liebchen!

But he also likes to sit on the stones on the beach, where he plays with the rippled water surface with his paws. The point is that the tail should touch the river. This is where the idea came from, that it would be worthwhile to take him on paddleboard trips as well. It probably comes as no surprise that he loves it too! In his tiny life jacket and goggles, he sits poised at the front of the board, just like a captain.

This is how it all started

The owners saw from the beginning that they were dealing with no ordinary indoor tiger. Little Liebchen was adopted at the age of 10 weeks, and he was very interested in the outside world from an early age. He regularly sat at the front door and meowed bitterly to be let out. Dan and Erin have always lived an active life, so they decided that if they already had a cat and that cat needed adventures, they would give it to him as a good owner.

The only thing that overshadowed the first period was the vet’s diagnosis. After the adoption, he was taken for a routine check-up, where it was discovered that the he had a heart murmur. According to the doctor, it was possible that he will not have any complications throughout his life, but unfortunately, they cannot say for sure in such cases. So the couple decided to make every minute memorable for Liebchen.

From the very beginning, they took it with them wherever they went. He traveled with them in the car on literally every trip, usually stretched out on the dashboard. So they had to leave with a slightly larger package, but they didn’t mind it a bit. They made sure to have enough snacks, toys and, of course, a portable litter tray. It’s no wonder that the car triggers the cat’s Pavlovian reflex. He knows something very exciting is coming again.

Heart disease does not stop Liebchen from exercising every day

Just like if they had a dog, Erin takes Liebchen for a long walk or short hike around the neighborhood every day. In fact, they have already been together in the red Utah desert. He loves to smell and taste everything. He loves to climb trees and rocks. Erin and Dan think hiking is Liebchen’s favorite pastime of all.

And if you thought this was already a real miracle, the best is yet to come! According to the last medical examination, the heart murmur is gone, there is no single sign of it. There is no fairy tale, unconditional love and experiences bring not only happiness, but also health!
