However, after three days, she learned that the 1-month-old kitten was probably not a domestic cat, as its behavior was quite different.

The adoption gone wrong, or the leopard cat

The man was really happy with his new roommate, but after three days he noticed a lot of strange things. For example, the kitten consumed food in a completely different, he really threw himself on the food. Thus, the man became more and more suspicious that the speckled animal was actually a wild cat cub. He went to the police, who almost immediately established that it was indeed a leopard cat (from which the Bengal was created using domesticated kittens). By the way, the species is very common in the area of China, and both its size and appearance are similar to a domestic cat, but it cannot socialize with humans. Trying to reunite the family

After the police were convinced that the man had not bought a wild animal on purpose, they tried to reunite the family, but with little success. After the man took it, it is believed that he could return to the area for two or three days to find it, but after the kitten was not there, he headed for other fields.

So finally giving up on reuniting the family, the police sent the feral cat to an animal shelter, from where it was later returned to its natural habitat as an adult.
